Shareridge has started essential water main replacement works in Granard, County Longford, on behalf of Uisce Éireann.

The project involves replacing 665 metres of ageing mains along Dublin Street (N55), from Granard Business Park to the junction at Church Street, as part of Uisce Éireann's National Leakage Reduction Programme.

The upgrade will improve water quality and provide a more secure and reliable supply for the town by reducing leakage of treated water. This is the second major water network project in Granard for 2025, following the replacement of over 400 metres of mains in Colmcille Terrace earlier in the year.

The works are expected to be completed later in 2025.
