Farrans Construction joined over forty leading employers and education providers at this year's Explore Engineering Expo held at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena.
The event, organised by Manufacturing & Engineering Growth & Advancement (MEGA) in partnership with the Magherafelt and Rural Learning Partnership and Construction Futures, welcomed around 1,500 Year 10 students from schools across the Mid Ulster region. The Expo aimed to showcase the wide range of career opportunities available in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and to demonstrate how these subjects translate into real-world applications.
Throughout the day, representatives from Farrans engaged with students, offering insights into the company’s diverse operations across the UK and Ireland. The team discussed the breadth of technical and professional roles within modern construction and highlighted the various entry routes available for young people interested in pursuing a career in the industry.
