Cork County Council is inviting owners and custodians of historic and protected structures to apply for funding under the Historic Structures Fund (HSF) 2026.
The scheme was recently announced by the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage and the Minister for Nature, Heritage and Biodiversity.
Administered locally by Cork County Council on behalf of the National Built Heritage Service (NBHS), the HSF aims to support the conservation and enhancement of heritage buildings for the benefit of communities and the public.
The fund provides a limited number of grants ranging from €50,000 to €200,000. It is intended for larger projects involving the refurbishment, improvement or reuse of historic structures, where a demonstrable public, community, or residential benefit can be shown. Eligible projects should be at an advanced stage of planning where required.
