Designer Group has announced a significant health and safety achievement in Ireland, having reached 1,000,000 Lost Time Injury (LTI) free work hours on a critical data centre energy project.

The company describes this as a major milestone for both its team and its project partners.

On the technically complex 200 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) project, Designer Group is fulfilling several key roles, serving as the PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage), as well as the Lead Mechanical, Electrical and Integration contractor. Their responsibilities on site are comprehensive, including the management of the Site Authorised Person (SAP) role, Energy Management, and the operation of the site-wide Permit to Work system, ensuring the project is delivered safely and in a coordinated manner.

This million-hour safety record highlights years of sustained effort, discipline, and long-term collaboration required to uphold such high standards on a project of this magnitude. Achieving the LTI-free benchmark indicates a highly effective and mature safety culture and strongly reinforces the group's commitment to the well-being of every person working on the scheme. It also serves as evidence of Designer Group's ongoing investment in Health and Safety, encompassing continuous training, robust safety systems, and fostering open communication and accountability at every location.
