Sinn Féin MLA Pádraig Delargy has welcomed the announcement that three Northern Ireland-based companies will benefit from Shared Island funding.
Through the Shared Island Sustainability Capital Grant Scheme, a total of €10 million has been allocated to O&S Doors, Capper Trading, and Cemcor. The scheme aims to support businesses in decarbonisation, innovation, and productivity, aligning with the economic priorities of Economy Minister Caoimhe Archibald.
Commenting on the announcement, Delargy said: "Decarbonisation and increasing productivity are key priorities in Economy Minister Caoimhe Archibald’s economic vision.
"The Shared Island Sustainability Capital Grant Scheme supports these priorities by investing in innovation and I welcome the inclusion of O&S Doors, Capper Trading and Cemcor in the scheme.
"At a time when all island trade and development is continuously growing this scheme will allow for further focus and collaboration across the island to help unlock the huge economic potential there is on the island.
"I want to also pay tribute to the work of Invest NI, InterTradeIreland and Enterprise Ireland through this scheme.
"This is further evidence of Minister Archibald’s commitment to economic growth, innovation and decarbonisation.
"Sinn Féin will continue to advocate for strong north-south cooperation."
The funding is expected to support the companies in adopting sustainable practices, increasing efficiency, and fostering innovation, contributing to wider economic development across the island.
