James Brown, the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, visited County Tipperary to inspect the progress of several major social housing schemes currently under development.

The tour commenced in Tyone, where the Minister viewed a 67-home project being delivered by Respond. The development is in its final construction phases and is expected to provide a significant increase to the local housing supply upon completion.

Following this, the Minister visited Grove Street in Roscrea. Here, Tipperary County Council is currently constructing nine new housing units. The visit allowed the Minister to review the site's progress and engage with the teams responsible for the build.

While in Roscrea, the delegation also attended a sod-turning ceremony at Ashbury. This event officially marked the start of construction for 10 new Council-led homes, representing a new phase of residential investment for the local community.

The ministerial visit concluded at Glencarrick, Roscrea, where a 47-unit development is nearing the finish line. This substantial project, delivered by Tipperary County Council, is almost complete and will soon be ready for occupancy by local families.

Throughout the day, the Minister highlighted the importance of the partnership between Tipperary County Council and Approved Housing Bodies. He commended the high quality of the builds and the efficient pace of delivery maintained across all the sites visited.
