Uisce Éireann is scheduled to begin vital improvements to the water network at the junction of Skreen Road and Blackhorse Avenue in Dublin 7. The project is set to start on Monday, 9 March, and is expected to take approximately six weeks to finish.
To reduce the impact on the local community, a stop-go traffic management system will be implemented in various phases throughout the construction period. However, the final stage of the works will require a full road closure, which has been authorised by Dublin City Council. This closure is scheduled to take place from Friday, 3 April, until Friday, 10 April.
While there will be no through road available on Blackhorse Avenue during this week-long closure, Uisce Éireann has confirmed that local and emergency access will be preserved for residents of Park Crescent House, McKee Park, Dunard Estate, Ardpatrick Road, and Skreen Road.
Sinéad Kennedy of Uisce Éireann thanked those affected for their patience and cooperation prior to the start of the works. She stated: "Uisce Éireann regrets any inconvenience that the delivery of these necessary works may cause and will make every effort to minimise disruption."
