NIE Networks and SONI have set out a draft Joint Digitalisation Strategy and opened a public consultation to gather views from people and organisations across Northern Ireland.
The draft outlines a common vision and guiding principles, groups priorities under four shared digital themes, and describes the outcomes both organisations intend to deliver together. It is designed to align plans where their responsibilities meet, while each continues to fulfil statutory duties through its own strategies and programmes.
The consultation runs from Monday 11 May 2026 and closes at 5.00pm on 22 June 2026.
Interested parties can submit responses via the NIE Networks Open Consultations page or by email to [email protected]
Feedback is particularly invited on the overall strategic direction and guiding principles; whether the joint purpose is clear; the clarity, relevance and meaning of the proposed themes for customers and stakeholders; the level of ambition and direction of travel; what success would look like in practice; and whether the strategy shows clear value for consumers, communities and the wider public, including improved information, coordination and transparency.
Responses will help shape the final Joint Digitalisation Strategy and future delivery plans. Have your say via the 'View Consultation' page on the NIE Networks website.
