Uisce Éireann has confirmed that supply is coming back following an outage caused by a burst on a trunk main earlier this morning.
Impacted localities included An Spidéal Thiar, Coill Rua Thoir, Baile na hAbhann, Na Doiriú and Ros an Mhíl.
Crews have completed repairs and the network is recharging. It typically takes three to four hours for full service to reach all homes and businesses, with those at the end of the network or on higher ground waiting longer. Customers may notice small pockets of air as supply stabilises.
Leo O'Shea of Uisce Éireann thanked residents and business owners for their patience while the repair was under way. "We understand how frustrating unplanned outages can be for our customers, particularly with such warm weather,” said Leo. “Our crews worked as quickly as they could to repair this main and restore supply, and water is now returning for impacted customers."
