Major Mains Replacement Boosts Water Reliability In Coore

Construction News Image

Households and businesses in Old Doolough, Coore are set to benefit from a more robust and dependable water supply as Uisce Éireann completes significant improvements to the local network.

The project saw over 6.3km of ageing water mains replaced with modern, resilient pipes. The old infrastructure had been prone to bursts and leaks, leading to service interruptions and the loss of treated drinking water.

With the new mains in place, customers across Coore can expect a more reliable service built to last.

Jack Cronin of Uisce Éireann said: "These works are an important part of delivering a water service built to last. By replacing ageing pipes with modern, resilient infrastructure, we're improving water services today while strengthening resilience for the future.

"Our teams work with great care and experience to reduce the risk of supply interruptions for customers during works and we're grateful to the local community for their patience and support throughout these essential upgrades. This investment is rooted in care for the people we serve."
