McAleer & Rushe Marks Topping Out At The Printworks

Construction News Image

McAleer & Rushe has reached structural completion at The Printworks, a landmark purpose-built student accommodation development for High Road West (Tottenham) Limited at 807 and 819–829 Tottenham High Road, London N17.

The milestone was celebrated with a topping out ceremony attended by representatives from the client, project team and delivery partners, acknowledging the progress made and the collaborative effort driving the scheme.

The Printworks is set to deliver around 287 high-quality student bedrooms through a blend of contemporary new-build elements and the sensitive refurbishment of listed buildings along Tottenham High Road. Eleven student rooms will be located within the retained heritage buildings fronting the High Road, with the remaining accommodation provided in a modern new-build block to the rear.

The design integrates the restored structures into a cohesive development, protecting and showcasing the site's architectural significance while creating a sustainable, modern student living environment.

The scheme includes high-quality internal and external amenity spaces, landscaped gardens and shared social areas to support student wellbeing and contribute to the wider regeneration of Tottenham High Road.

Paul Murray, Project Director at McAleer & Rushe, said: "Topping out at The Printworks is a key milestone for everyone involved in this exemplary project and reflects the dedication, expertise and collaborative approach of the entire team. We are proud to be playing a key role in the regeneration of Tottenham High Road and look forward to handing over a development that will provide exceptional accommodation for students while preserving the area’s rich architectural character."
