Breedon Group plc has undertaken a major sustainability upgrade at the facility by switching the site's energy system from gas oil to natural gas.

The project includes the installation of two modern boilers and new flue gas economisers, improving energy efficiency across both the bitumen terminal and the polymer modified bitumen plant so the site can operate effectively and reliably on natural gas.

Delivered in collaboration with suppliers, contractors, Gas Networks Ireland and Dublin Port, the initiative aligns with Breedon's strategy to upgrade assets for a more sustainable future and supports Ireland's transition to lower-carbon industrial operations.
