Belfast City Council's Planning Committee has approved a range of applications, including changes to plans for a new multi-purpose berthing facility for cruise ships on land at Airport Road West within the Harbour Estate.

The application from Belfast Harbour Commissioners was approved, allowing the relocation and extension of the main cruise terminal, provision of an additional baggage building, and site works including lighting, landscaping and associated infrastructure.

Councillors also agreed to renew an application from Andras House to refurbish a four-storey terrace at 29–33 Bedford Street, add a rear extension and construct a new 13-storey aparthotel.

Separately, permission was granted for resurfacing and a minor extension of the existing 3G pitch at Hammer Playing Pitch, together with replacement floodlighting, a 50-seater covered mini-stand, additional fencing and replacement dugouts.
