14 New Homes Complete In Castlerock

Apex Housing Association and Braidwater Group have delivered a 14-home scheme on Freehall Road, Castlerock, built by North 55 Contracts and supported by Department for Communities funding.

A new residential development on Freehall Road in Castlerock has been completed and handed over, providing 14 additional homes to address local housing need. The scheme was developed by Apex Housing Association in partnership with Braidwater Group, with construction carried out by North 55 Contracts.

Work on the project began in March 2025 and was finished in August 2026.

Offering a mix of property types, the development comprises houses, bungalows and apartments designed to provide modern accommodation for general needs, Category 1 and complex housing requirements.

The 14-home scheme includes four two-person, one-bedroom general needs apartments; three three-person, two-bedroom Category 1 detached bungalows; five three-person, two-bedroom general needs semi-detached houses; one two-person, one-bedroom complex needs detached bungalow; and one two-person, one-bedroom general needs semi-detached bungalow.

The completion marks a notable addition to Castlerock’s housing provision, with a range of homes tailored to identified local demand. Representatives from the partner organisations marked the official handover, including Kieran Berryman (Apex), Shauna Moore (Braidwater), Lee McKeever (North 55 Contracts) and Joe McGinnis (Braidwater).

The scheme was developed with funding provided by the Department for Communities, delivered through the Northern Ireland Executive.
