Mott MacDonald, working in partnership with Roughan & O'Donovan, has been appointed to Iarnród Éireann's Multi-Party Framework for Project Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy Services.
The five-year framework, which can be extended by a further three years, will provide Iarnród Éireann with access to multidisciplinary advisory and design expertise for projects forming part of its capital investment programme.
The scope covers consultancy services across Project Management Procedures Phases 1 to 5, including project scoping, concept development, feasibility studies and preliminary design.
The framework will also cover support for planning and statutory processes, detailed design and tendering. Construction-stage and handover services under Phases 6 and 7 may also be included.
The appointment will see Mott MacDonald and Roughan & O'Donovan support the development and delivery of rail infrastructure projects from the early stages of project definition through to design, procurement and, where required, construction and handover.
Mott MacDonald said the appointment builds on its long-standing work with Iarnród Éireann and strengthens its role in supporting Ireland's future rail investment programme.
Recent projects involving Mott MacDonald include the nationwide CONNECT programme, the Glounthaune to Midleton Twin Tracking project and the Drogheda BEMU charging station.
