Kildare County Council has signed a works contract for its Trinity Way housing scheme at the former HSE Dispensary site in Carbury, Co Kildare, confirming Showglade Ltd as the Main Contractor and Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS).
Desiun Architects designed the scheme and will lead the design team through construction. The team also includes CORA Consulting Engineers (civil and structural), OCSC Consulting Engineers (mechanical and electrical), Bolger Quantity Surveyors, and landscape architects Cunnane Stratton Reynolds.
The development will convert the existing dispensary building into a home and add four new terraced social housing units, providing five homes in total.
The project is financed through the Social Housing Investment Programme (SHIP) by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, and is scheduled for completion in 2027.
Speaking at the contract signing, Cathaoirleach of the County of Kildare, Councillor Tim Durkan said: "This contract signing is a welcome milestone for Carbury and for the Trinity Way housing project. It will bring the former HSE Dispensary site back into use and provide much-needed homes for the local community."
Sonya Kavanagh, Chief Executive, Kildare County Council added: "Trinity Way reflects Kildare County Council’s commitment to delivering high-quality social housing across the county. Through refurbishment and new construction, this project will provide five homes while making effective use of an existing site in Carbury."
