Dublin City Council has launched a recruitment drive seeking graduate engineers to help deliver major infrastructure, climate action, housing and transport projects across the capital over the coming years.

Under the Build Dublin's Future banner, the initiative highlights how graduates can forge rewarding public-sector careers while contributing to long-term projects that will shape the city for decades. It targets final-year students and recent graduates in Civil, Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Transport Engineering.

Lord Mayor of Dublin Daryl Barron said: "For graduates starting out in their careers, few opportunities offer the chance to make such a visible and lasting impact on the city around them. The engineers who join Dublin City Council today will help deliver the homes, transport infrastructure, climate action projects and public spaces that will shape Dublin's future. As our city continues to grow and evolve, we need talented and ambitious graduates who want to use their skills to make a real difference. Successful recruits will support Dublin's continued growth while advancing a more sustainable, resilient and liveable city. Roles span climate adaptation, flood alleviation, sustainable mobility, housing and regeneration, and environmental protection.

As an Engineers Ireland Accredited Employer, the council offers a structured professional development programme with mentoring, accredited training and continuing professional development, supporting progression towards Chartered Engineer status and giving early, hands-on experience on live projects.
