Wicklow County Council has opened a call for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the 2026 Town and Village Renewal Scheme (TVRS), which funds small to medium‑sized capital projects. Backed by Project Ireland 2040, the TVRS underpins the objectives of Our Rural Future and the Town Centre First policy by supporting the renewal and vibrancy of rural towns and villages.

Under the Main Scheme, grant awards will range from €50,000 to €500,000 for projects that strengthen town centre regeneration and enhance economic and social vitality, including the creation or improvement of town and village centre plazas. Applicants should consult the Scheme Outline for full eligibility criteria before submitting an EOI.

A separate Project Development Measure (PDM) offers up to €50,000 per project to help local authorities progress a pipeline of significant, well‑developed proposals to a construction‑ready stage. Eligible PDM activities can include detailed design, preparation for planning and/or procurement, consideration of climate action elements and appropriate assessments for a single future strategic medium‑ to large‑scale project.

Community groups must complete an Expression of Interest form (available via the link below) and submit it by email to [email protected] by 2 November 2026. Selection will be competitive and assessed against the priorities set out in the Scheme Outlines.
