Fingal County Council has officially opened the all-new Naul Village Park, creating an inclusive public space for residents and visitors.
The project, delivered by Vision Contracting at an approximate cost of €3 million, was shaped by local input to ensure a high-quality outdoor amenity for people of all ages and abilities.
Public representatives, community organisations and officials attended the opening, including the Mayor of Fingal, Cllr. Tony Murphy, Chief Executive AnnMarie Farrelly, Minister for Rural and Community Development Dara Calleary, local councillors, TDs and Senators.
At the core of the park is a new village green, alongside an inclusive playground and a dedicated community garden. The space is designed to encourage play and relaxation, with quieter areas for reflection and socialising.
Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Tony Murphy, said: "Naul Village Park captures the very best of community investment. It provides a welcoming space for people of all ages and abilities to come together, enjoy the outdoors and strengthen the connections that make Naul such a special place. I have no doubt this park will become a cherished part of village life and a lasting legacy for future generations."
The scheme strengthens links across the village, adding new pedestrian entry points from the centre and neighbouring residential areas, together with seating, picnic spots and pollinator-friendly planting. It also delivers a new accessible connection to the Séamus Ennis Arts Centre.
Further features include a space for community use, rain gardens, enhanced boundary treatments, a drinking water fountain, a cyclist rest stop and dedicated parking. Biodiversity measures were incorporated throughout, with the existing hedgerow retained, wildflower seed harvested on site and resown, and locally sourced stone and timber reused for paving and seating.
