Construction News Image

Linear Park Playground in Dungarvan has reopened following an upgrade that replaced ageing timber play units and added new safety surfacing.

The project, delivered by contractor Browne Brothers, is complete and temporary fencing has been removed, allowing families to return. Children can enjoy fresh options for climbing, swinging, spinning and bouncing.

Among the additions are a zip-line, a multi-play unit, a four-seater seesaw and an in-ground trampoline, among others.

The inclusion of an inclusive spinning cup and roundabout provides more opportunities for children of different abilities to enjoy playing together. Waterford City and County Council thanks the public for their patience during the works and looks forward to welcoming children and families back to the upgraded playground.
