Henry Brothers is celebrating top honours at the 2026 CEF Awards after its Queen's-led Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Centre (AMIC) was named Overall Project of the Year, the ceremony's highest accolade.

The landmark scheme also secured Commercial Construction Project of the Year, delivering a notable double for the contractor at one of Northern Ireland's premier construction industry events.

The Overall Project of the Year title recognises the standout project from across the construction sector in Northern Ireland.

David Henry, Chief Executive Officer of Henry Brothers, said: "To see AMIC recognised as the Overall Project of the Year is a tremendous achievement and one that everyone involved in the project can take great pride in.

"From the outset, AMIC was an ambitious project with the potential to make a lasting contribution to Northern Ireland's advanced manufacturing and innovation sectors. Seeing the finished facility receive this level of recognition is a fantastic way to mark what has been a very special year for Henry Brothers.

"There is a huge amount of work, expertise and collaboration behind a project of this scale, and this award is a wonderful acknowledgement of the collective effort that went into delivering it. We would like to thank everyone who played a part in bringing AMIC to life."

Henry Brothers was the main contractor for the state-of-the-art £40 million, 10,500 sqm 'Factory of the Future', developed by Queen's University Belfast in partnership with Ulster University and Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.

Designed to foster advanced manufacturing, innovation and collaboration, the facility provides a world-class setting for research, education and industry.

The company was also highly commended for the Social Value Award, recognising its ongoing commitment to delivering positive social impact and supporting the communities where it operates.

The double success is a fitting highlight of Henry Brothers' 50th anniversary year, reinforcing its record of delivering complex, high-value projects in Northern Ireland and beyond. For more information, visit henrybrothers.co.uk.
