Construction News Image

A mechanical issue at the Killeglan Water Treatment Plant has disrupted production and is causing water supply interruptions across parts of South Roscommon, with Uisce Éireann crews on site working to return service as quickly and safely as possible.

Areas currently impacted include Brideswell, Corrowduff, Taughmaconnell, Dysart, Moore, Parkmore, Kilgarve, Ballydanagan, and the outskirts of Ballinasloe town in County Roscommon.

Ger Greally, at Uisce Éireann, said: "We understand how inconvenient an unexpected water outage can be. Our crews are working to restore supply following a mechanical issue at the treatment plant which has impacted production. We really appreciate everyone in the community bearing with us while our crews get water back to homes and businesses."

Supporting customers who may be particularly vulnerable during interruptions remains a priority. Registered vulnerable customers receive direct communications from Uisce Éireann for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
