GRAHAM has been appointed by Gamuda Land UK Limited to construct a new £45m purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development at 14 Marshgate Lane in Stratford, east London.
The award moves the scheme into the delivery phase and underscores Gamuda Land UK's continued expansion and long-term investment in the United Kingdom.
Situated between Stratford High Street and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the project will provide 321 student bedspaces in one of east London's fastest-growing, best-connected neighbourhoods. Pudding Mill Lane DLR station is approximately 100 metres from the main entrance.
Part of Gamuda Land UK's expanding London portfolio, the development reflects the company’s focus on sustainable, well-connected communities and responds to rising demand for PBSA in strategically located education hubs.
Designed around contemporary student living, the scheme will include a blend of cluster accommodation and self-contained studios. Residents will have access to shared kitchen, dining and social areas, along with a gym and games rooms.
Set within landscaped surroundings, the complex will incorporate an elevated communal route running the length of the site, offering places to study, meet and socialise while taking in views across neighbouring waterways.
The ground floor will deliver 294 sq m of commercial space for artists’ studios and workspace, supporting Stratford's growing reputation as a hub for creativity and innovation.
The project also includes infrastructure upgrades, with a new road and improved pedestrian and cycle access from the northern elevation, further strengthening links with the surrounding neighbourhood.
