JP Corry's Springfield Road Branch Wins NI Regional Award

Belfast's Springfield Road branch has been named Northern Ireland Regional Award winner, as JP Corry also secured multiple finalist places for sustainability and individual achievements at the 2026 Octabuild Awards.

JP Corry marked a standout performance at this year's ceremony, with its Springfield Road team taking the regional title and the wider business recognised across several categories.

The Springfield Road branch was honoured for delivering JP Corry’s Branch of the Future, a key milestone in the company’s ongoing investment in customer experience, innovation and collaboration with the construction trade.

The award follows a significant redevelopment of the site, which now offers a modern, customer‑centred environment featuring a broader product range, upgraded facilities, dedicated trade areas, digital enhancements and a community hub designed around the needs of local builders and tradespeople.

This transformation was shaped by extensive engagement with customers, suppliers and local trades. Feedback indicates the changes have made a marked difference to the overall experience, and the regional award recognises the team’s role in bringing the Branch of the Future concept to life.

JP Corry reached the finals in four categories overall. The business was also a Sustainable Excellence finalist, reflecting progress under its People, Planet and Place strategy. Its sustainability efforts were previously recognised when it was named Business in the Community Northern Ireland’s Responsible Business of the Year in 2024 – the first builders' merchant to receive the honour.

The accolades also highlighted individual achievements. Ballymena colleague Jason Fullerton was a finalist in the Octabuild Rising Star category, while three team members – Ian Copeland (Newry), Darrell Bell (Castlereagh) and David Wood (Portadown) – were shortlisted for the competitive Unsung Hero Award, which celebrates behind‑the‑scenes dedication that supports colleagues and customers.

Collectively, the recognition underscores the breadth of talent and commitment across the business, from major branch investment and sustainability initiatives to the everyday contribution of colleagues across the network.
