Sisk Launches First Health And Safety Leadership Conferences

John Sisk & Son has staged a new series of dedicated Health & Safety conferences — titled 'Stepping up, Owning the Outcome' — in Ireland and the UK over the past week, marking a first for the Sisk Group.

Senior leaders from across the business were brought together to help shape the company's future Health & Safety strategy and consider how they can each play their part in owning the outcome.

Attendees heard from external specialists at DEKRA and HESPER GRC, who shared insights, challenged existing thinking and encouraged exploration of opportunities to enhance organisational maturity and psychological safety across Sisk's operations.

The events coincided with the CIF Construction Safety Campaign in Ireland, which runs from 12–23 October. Together, the campaign and Sisk's conferences offered a timely opportunity for reflection on the importance of Health & Safety within the organisation and the wider industry this month.

Paul Brown, CEO, Sisk said: "Health & Safety is a key element of our current five-year growth strategy at Sisk. With an ever-increasing pipeline of work across our expanding territories, there has never been a more important time to restate our absolute commitment to continuous improvement. The way we behave, and the choices we make, influence the Health & Safety of everybody, everyday. The 'Stepping up, Owning the Outcome' conferences have been a great way to ensure Health and Safety is always front of mind. It was uplifting to hear the quality of the conversations in the room and I am confident in the people we have and their ability to respond, continue to make a real difference, and play their part in owning the outcome."
