Turkingtons Building Their Way To Success

Turkington’s Managing Director, Jim McKeag, has recently received a CIOB NVQ level 5 Construction Management qualification at the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) 2007 Annual Lecture, sponsored by CITB.

The award is particularly significant as Jim is one of the first managers in Northern Ireland to achieve this qualification through the CITB, which is a leading UK CIOB centre.

The level 5 management qualification is designed to meet the needs of managers with extensive experience in the construction industry.


Jim has been working in construction for over 37 years and has been with Turkingtons for the last 21 years. Mr McKeag said: "It's been a wonderful time to have been involved in this industry, particularly with a company as diverse and forward thinking as Turkington. As a company we are involved at all levels of the construction process from manufacture, through design, construction and facilities management."

"The results this year across all our CIOB courses were once again to a very high standard," said Martin Cushnahan, Manager of TASC, CITB’s training division. "These outstanding results further highlight the dedication and commitment that our candidates put into their efforts."
