ConstructionSkills and the Federation of Master Builders recently held the first in a series of Business Improvement Evenings at the Templeton Hotel in Ballyclare.
Presentations on the evening were given by the Management and Leadership Network and Building Control, focusing on developing world class management and leadership skills and on the new regulations Parts F and L respectively. The evening proved a great success and was attended by a range of small construction businesses.
Karen Hunter, ConstructionSkills, commented: “Management and leadership skills are key to the development of a successful business and have been identified through the Sector Skills Agreement for Construction as a key development priority for the industry in Northern Ireland. We are delighted to work with the Federation of Master Builders and the Management and Leadership Network to help small construction businesses to develop their capabilities in this area.”
Maire Devlin, Federation of Master Builders, remarked: “Understanding and complying with the new building regulations is essential for the construction industry. This interactive event enabled experts from building control to demonstrate to FMB members how to act in accordance with the changes. FMB in partnership with ConstructionSkills will continue to promote best practice throughout the industry.”
