Jurys Inn has announced it is seeking to open up to 120 hotels in central and Eastern Europe, in the next 10 to 12 years.
Quinlan Private, the firm’s parent, is preparing to launch its first central European hotel in Budapest. It is also conducting a €400 million fund raising drive to finance the expansion of the brand throughout the UK and Europe.
Jurys Inn Chief Executive Niall Geoghegan told the Irish Times that he hoped the chain could more than triple in size from its current 22 properties to over 70 in the next two years.
Eight new properties will also be opened in Britain by the end of 2009.
There are currently 20 hotels in the Jurys Inn chain, with 14 of those in the UK and six in Ireland.
