A 15,000 seater stadium and 30 acre training centre for the GAA is now planned.

Developers John Casey and Seamus O’Halloron won an agreement to buy the race course from it's owners in September. They plan to use the GAA grounds and neighbouring Mitchel's club grounds for a retail development.
