The £223,370 improvement scheme of Warrenpoint's Dock Street area has been completed.
Footpaths have been repaved, street lights improved, trees planted and new street furniture provided.
The Assembly's Social Development Minister, Margaret Ritchie, said: "Warrenpoint is already acknowledged as one of Northern Ireland's top tourist destinations. The completion of this work, which is a continuation of an earlier public realm scheme carried out along the Square, has significantly enhanced the seafront area and will contribute to the sustainability of the town as major tourist destination."
The Department for Social Development provided £120,370 to the overall cost of the project, with the remainder coming from INTERREG (£75,000) and Newry and Mourne District Council (£28,000).
