Roundabouts in Newtownabbey are set to have a massive makeover in a joint council and DRD Roads Service initiative.

The Council plans to work with private sector partners to help fund the project.

Michael Lipsett, the Council's Director of Leisure Services said: "Sponsors will be able to get involved in the design of the landscaping and the signs on the roundabout will display their company name. Those companies that get involved will be showing that they want to improve the local environment and are working with the Council and local community to do so. This project will really make a difference to our surroundings."
