A move to Belfast's docklands has enabled the Jenkinson Group to expand their range of freight delivery services, from January it will offer an international courier service for Irish companies.
The larger premises is on Belfast's West Bank Road near the Liverpool ferry berth.
Jenkinson director David Rogers said: "We are certainly in the right location to serve all of our customers in the best possible way, and we've chosen the site well.
"We export and import goods and plant using containers for whatever our customers' needs are; every day and every order is different. Ceramic tiles coming in from Spain and Italy - as well as other countries further afield - are typical of the goods we ship in. We also export a wide variety of equipment and have excellent relationships with shipping lines around the world."
Jenkinson group aims to keep the costs down for customers, Mr Rogers explained: "We're always looking to advise on the best way to reduce those costs, unlike some firms that may push up fees just to make more profit."
The Jenkinson Group was founded in Dublin in 1975 by Neville Jenkinson who is Chairman of the Group.
The original activity was liner agency and this remains a core activity but the Group has expanded its service offer to include airfreight, roadfreight, warehousing, supply-chain management and container storage and repair.
In 1999 the company acquired a majority share in James P. Jones & Son Ltd.
Today the Group has a turnover of around €50m, 150 employees, a network of 11 offices in 5 countries and a growing international network.
