Failte Ireland chief executive Shaun Quinn has announced a €16m investment on Irish tourism.
The biggest Discover Ireland Campaign yet is to be launched with the aim of encouraging Irish people to holiday at home.
Investments will be made on tourism infrastructure, new projects and attractions.
Mr Quinn also said recent research showed optimism within the sector; nine out of 10 accommodation providers believe their overseas business this year would be as good as or even better than in 2007.
