The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Paddy Bourke, has visited Belfast for a tour of the city's key regeneration projects.
Councillor Bourke was a guest of Belfast City Council, and his whistle stop tour outlined plans for Belfast's Titanic and Cathedral Quarters and housing developments in north and west Belfast – as well as providing an overview of plans for the Big Lottery-funded Connswater Community Greenway Project in east Belfast.
Councillor Bourke met with the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Jim Rodgers, and Paul Reid, the manager of the recently-opened Ikea in Belfast.
Along with Liverpool, Cardiff, Glasgow and Edinburgh, Belfast and Dublin participate in the Cities of the Isles Network which formally links the cities in sharing urban regeneration best practice.
