The Department for Social Development has announced the preferred developer selection process for the Eden Street development scheme in Enniskillen.

Consultants are working on a selection process prioritising quality of design, suitability of use and deliverability as the key attributes of the scheme.

The development of the Eden Street car park was identified in the Integrated Development Strategy for Enniskillen prepared by Fermanagh District Council, following wide consultation with the community.

It is envisaged that the project will be a mix of town centre uses, that will improve the viability and vitality of the town centre, and will include provision for the existing and additional car parking spaces.

It is anticipated that the preferred scheme will be announced in summer of this year.
