A High Court judge has ordered two directors to pay debts owed by their construction company to the tune of €1.8 million.
Mr Justice Peter Kelly refused a stay on the order for judgment against Colm and Martina McNulty, of Kilreesk Lane, St Margaret's, Co Dublin, in proceedings brought by Doka Ireland Formwork Technologies, Monsaterboice, Drogheda, Co Louth.
The McNultys were taken to court over money owed for equipment and services provided to their company, Limestone Construction.
Doka claimed the McNulty's had agreed in writing on 2 February 2007, to guarantee the payment of all monies owed by Limestone. However, it was claimed that the company failed to repay the €1.798m.
Justice Kelly said the defendants had "not acquitted themselves well".
