Mercury Wins Terminal 2 Contract

A Dublin engineering firm has won a €70 million contract from the Dublin Airport Authority.

Mercury Engineering will handle all mechanical and electrical engineering for the new Terminal 2 building and Pier E boarding gates.

Work will begin in the summer and is expected to run until the opening of the new terminal in April 2010.

This is the latest contract awarded out of a total of 17 separate contracts for the €609 million facility, which will increase capacity to more than 30 million customers per year once opened.

Mercury Engineering, the largest engineering services company in Ireland, has been involved in the construction of the Luas Line, Dublin Port Tunnel and Dundrum Town Centre.
