Strike Planned By Gas Network Workers

SITPU union members working for Bord Gáis have announced they are planning strike action from next Monday.

Members of the company working on the maintenance of the Bord Gáis network in Dublin and Leinster have said the strike could affect Bord Gáis' ability to maintain its network.

The union has said the dispute is a result of the dismissal of 16 members of staff, despite there being no shortage of work for the company.

Enterprise Ltd - a British company contracted to Bord Gáis - has today been served a notice detailing the strike plans.
