The economic downturn has forced a Londonderry contractor to put Northern Ireland building projects "on hold", it has been revealed.
Construction firm Taggarts is reportedly holding talks with its banks to assess its financial position, amid an ailing building industry.
However, the firm, which employs around ten people locally, is set to continue with projects in the rest of Great Britain, a spokesperson has confirmed.
The representative said that, similar to other builders, the company was involved in ongoing discussions about reintroducing liquidity to the market.
