One of Ireland's largest concrete sub-contractors sent 30 workers home from a Dublin site on Friday - but has rejected claims the company is going out of business.
Tricastle Construction Ireland, who specialises in concrete, formwork and shuttering, told RTE negotiations were underway to find a solution to problems - which the firm has described as "short-term hurdles".
On Friday morning at least 30 Tricastle employees were discharged from a Dublin building site.
A spokesman for the company confirmed talks were taking place to keep the business going, and staff should be paid today (Monday).
The firm denied rumours it was going out of business.
Tricastle employs over 200 workers and is one of the largest Irish sub-contractors in its sector.
