Guaranteed Irish Market For Monaghan Furniture Firm

A Monaghan-based furniture maker has been awarded the Guaranteed Irish mark in recognition of its commitment to Irish industry.

Glenwood received the accolade amid a noticeable downturn in domestically manufactured furniture.

The trade once thrived in Ireland; but in recent years many furniture factories have been forced to close, as the market becomes dominated by Chinese imports.

A spokesman for Glenwood said: "With a major investment in product development, our company is fighting back to promote Irish industry and protect Irish Jobs."

Glenwood manufactures the Easidine range of dining and kitchen tables as well as bedroom, office and living room products as its factory in Monaghan.
