A £337,404 kitchen improvement scheme, undertaken by the Housing Executive in Armagh, has been completed.
Homes located in Loughgall, Richill, Killylea, and Tandragee - a mixture of houses, flats, and bungalows - received a full kitchen overhaul.
Most of the work involved minor structural repairs to some dwellings to improve kitchen layouts, as well as upgrading electrical wiring in the kitchen, and fitting smoke alarms and heat detectors.
Housing Executive tenant Mrs Morgan, from Killylea, said: "I am delighted with my new kitchen. The workmen were great to my husband and me and I am very pleased with their workmanship.
"Before the work started the Housing Executive were in contact with me to discuss the work and to pick the kitchen that I wanted. They have kept me up to date on what was going on."
District Manager Aengus Hannaway, commenting on the completion of the scheme, said: "I am pleased the scheme is complete and local residents can enjoy their new kitchens.
"We involved residents from the outset discussing the proposals with them and giving everyone involved an opportunity to choose from a selection of kitchen finishes and colours.
"Schemes of this nature are an important element of the Housing Executive’s objective to improve living conditions for its tenants and I am confident that this work will make a difference for these local residents," he added.
