Sligo County Council has announced plans to build a waste water pumping station at a site in the townlands of Carrowgobbadagh and Drumaskibole.

Works at the development will include the construction of a vacuum pumping station, a pressure pumping station, a control building, and an emergency overflow tank, retaining walls, and all associated ancillary site works.

Proposals for the project have been published by the council, and are open for public consultation until the 19 January next year.

The council has encouraged interested parties to submit observations on the scheme, relating to Planning and Sustainable Development of the area, to be made in writing to the Director of Infrastructural Services at Sligo County Council before February 2009.
