Plans for a half a million pound civic centerpiece in Cookstown have been finalised.
Designed to compliment existing buildings on the Burn Road, the public realm scheme will see improved footpaths and street furniture installed.
Lighting between William Street and Park Avenue junction will also be redesigned.
Now open for public consultation, the scheme is expected to make the existing space in the area more 'usable' and a better venue for outdoor events.
Funding for the project, which could commence as soon as February, has been allocated by the Department of Social Development.
Council officials have lauded the proposals as a catalyst for further private sector development in the area, and a trigger for greater economic performance.
Chair of Cookstown Council and the Town Centre Forum, Trevor Wilson, said: "This investment of approximately £500,000 will have a hugely positive impact on our town, updating and improving its appearance."
Designs are on public display all this month at the Burnavon.
