New Wicklow Pumping Facilities Proposed

Wicklow council has announced plans for the development of new bored well and pumping facilities at Ashtown, Roundwood, in the county.

The purpose of the proposed development is to augment the existing source of water for the Roundwood Public Water Supply.

Water will be pumped from the well via a new rising main to an existing reservoir at Roundwood.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development were made public Wicklow County Council last month.

Today was the last day the filing of submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area.

Wicklow County Council provided the notice in accordance with Article 81 in Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2006.
