An new safety consultancy firm has opened in the south east of Ireland, focusing on providing advice to contractors and builders.

BusinessSafety.ie was founded by Emlyn Ó Troighthigh, who has over 15 years experience in the health and safety industry.

He said the firm will cater for organisations looking to take safety to the "next level".

Emlyn has previously worked in the UK and Ireland with companies such as Walls Construction Group (Dublin), Atkins (Warrington) and more recently Cleary and Doyle Contracting (Wexford), where he held the position of Health and Safety Manager from 2006 to 2009.
