A £250,000 road resurfacing scheme on the A2 Tillysburn Junction, Belfast commenced yesterday, and is expected to run for four weeks.
Colin Brown, Network Maintenance Manager for Roads Service Eastern Division, said the scheme will improve the safety and structural integrity of the road.
"Roads Service has carefully programmed the works operations and the traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public.
"That said, over 55,000 vehicles use this junction each day and so some delays will be inevitable. Roads Service apologises for any inconvenience, however it is impossible to complete a scheme like this without some disruption," he said.
