£230k Ards Water Scheme Complete

Water and sewerage infrastructure works on North Road in Newtownards has been completed ahead of schedule, NI Water had said.

The work, which represents an investment of £230,000 by the body, involved upgrading the existing water main and laying a new sewer.


Senior Project Manager Keith Haslett said: "NI Water and our contractor O’Neill’s are delighted that we have completed this essential scheme ahead of schedule. NI Water is committed to providing a modern and effective sewerage system and this scheme will benefit the local community well into the 21st century.

"North Road has now been reopened and we would like to thank local residents and businesses for their patience throughout this scheme."
