Engineering Accreditation For Cavan Authority

Cavan County Council has been accredited by Engineers Ireland in recognition of its commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) systems, and practices for engineering and technical staff.

"We are very pleased to have received this prestigious award for a maximum of three years," said a council spokesman.

Engineers Ireland CPD Accreditation audit panel visited Cavan last month to carry out the audit.

The audit panel consisted of Liam Baxter, HR Manager with Duffy Chartered Engineers, Aidan Harney, Manager, CPD Accreditation Employer Scheme and Dr John Butler, CPD and HR Director.

"This is a great achievement as we are one of a small number of companies, across both the public and private sectors, to have received this important award following a first audit," added the Cavan council official.
