CIF president Andy O'Gorman said a 'Yes' vote would support economic recovery and provide the basis for "sustainable growth into the future".
"It is clear that we will best position ourselves to recover from the current downturn by voting yes, sending a clear signal to international investors and the financial markets that Ireland is very much at the heart of Europe and intends to remain so," he said.

"From a construction point of view, inward investment on the back of Ireland’s EU membership has been a major driver of work for the industry, helping to create and sustain high quality jobs in commercial and industrial construction."
Mr O'Gorman claimed construction will benefit from the "upturn in the economy" that a yes vote will help encourage.
He added: "The construction industry has suffered more than any other sector in the current downturn and over 200,000 jobs have already been lost.
"A positive vote on the Lisbon Referendum is one of the measures needed to stabilise the economy and our industry."
